Dr. Chappell offers vaccinations for both influenza (Flu) and Pneumococcal (Pneumonia). Almost every person will get the flu at one time or anther. This illness is marked with high fever, sore throat, chills, aches, coughing, and fatigue. On average, almost 40,000 people will die from the flu each year. Pneumonia has harsher symptoms than the flu, but is also just as common. It more often affects the older population. Getting vaccinated for both of these infectious disease is not a guarantee that you will not get them, but the vaccines do you provide safeguards and help the immune system fight off the disease before they surface. It is important to call our office for an appointment for these vaccines to ensure we have them in stock.
